Product Overview

The Kapwell Thermal Degasser is the most effective and efficient meets the stringent requirement.

Kapwell supply customised CE marked ATEX Zone 1 certified Thermal degasser to suit the client requirements. All our components are NACE certified and manufactured to the highest quality.

Our degassers are designed to achieve an effective gas-liquid separation and ensure a smooth transition of vapour outlet. In the feedwater tank, the degassed water is collected. The gases can also be evacuated with the generated water vapour using a vacuum pump.

Our Thermal degassers consist of ASME certified degasser vessel and control cabinet.

Applications

Drilling Fluids hd

Drilling operations

Thermal degassers are commonly used in drilling operations to remove gas from drilling fluids or mud. Similar to horizontal degassers, gas in the fluids can cause problems like reduced drilling efficiency, well instability, and safety hazards. However, instead of using a vacuum to remove the gas, thermal degassers use heat. The fluids are heated to a high temperature, which causes the gas to be released and removed from the fluids.

Geothermal Energy 1

Geothermal Energy

Thermal degassers can also be used in geothermal energy production. Geothermal energy is produced by extracting hot water or steam from underground reservoirs. However, the water or steam often contains dissolved gases like carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, which can damage the equipment used in the energy production process. Thermal degassers can be used to remove these gases from the water or steam, ensuring that the equipment remains safe and efficient.

Refining and Petrochemical Processing

Refining Operations

Thermal degassers are used in refining operations to remove gas and other contaminants from crude oil. When crude oil is refined, it is heated to high temperatures, which causes it to release gas. This gas must be removed before the oil can be further refined. Thermal degassers can be used to remove the gas from the crude oil, making it suitable for further refining

Oil and Gas Industry

Oil and Gas Production

Thermal degassers are also used in oil and gas production operations. When oil or gas is extracted from a well, it contains gas and other contaminants. These contaminants must be removed before the oil or gas can be transported and refined. Thermal degassers can be used to remove the gas and other contaminants from the extracted oil or gas, making it suitable for transport and refining.

Water and Wastewater Treatment

Water Treatment

Thermal degassers are used to remove dissolved gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide from water. This is important because the presence of these gases can cause corrosion in pipelines, boilers, and other equipment used in water treatment plants. Degassed water also improves the efficiency of industrial processes that require pure water.

Food and Beverage Processing

Thermal degassers are used in the production of beverages like beer, soda, and wine. These beverages are carbonated, and carbon dioxide is used to create the bubbles. However, dissolved gases like oxygen and nitrogen can affect the quality of the product. By removing these gases, thermal degassers help maintain the quality of the beverages.
