Description
Gas Dehydration is a vital part of natural gas processing, ensuring that water vapor is effectively removed to maintain the integrity of pipelines and equipment. Positioned within the gas treatment process, the dehydration unit prevents potential issues such as pipeline corrosion, hydrate formation, and gas quality degradation. These issues are critical, as moisture in the gas stream can result in operational hazards and damage to infrastructure if not managed properly.
Our dehydration systems are primarily based on Glycol Dehydration (TEG) and Molecular Sieve technologies. The Glycol Dehydration Unit utilizes triethylene glycol to absorb moisture from the gas, with the glycol being regenerated to allow continuous operation. In more demanding applications where ultra-low moisture levels are required, Molecular Sieve Dehydration systems are employed. Both options are designed with safety and efficiency in mind, ensuring optimal performance in a variety of operational conditions.
Hydrate formation due to pressure drops is a known challenge in gas processing, and our dehydration systems incorporate robust design features to prevent plugging and maintain efficiency. With carefully engineered regeneration systems, water is continuously removed from the glycol, allowing for uninterrupted dehydration even in high-flow environments. Our designs follow established industry standards, with updates reflecting the latest safety regulations and technological advancements.
Kapwell offers flexible solutions, including both vertical and horizontal dehydration units, depending on space and operational requirements. The capacity of each unit is meticulously designed to handle the maximum anticipated gas flow rate, preventing the risk of carryover or system overload. This ensures a safe and reliable operation, making sure the dehydration system can handle the full gas volume while maintaining a secure environment for operators and equipment.
Our technology offers the highest level of safety during gas processing.
Kapwell’s certified Separator is designed to efficiently handle high volumes of gas, oil, and water while managing solids in well fluids. It features a liquid seal that prevents hydrate plugging and ensures safe venting of separated gas. The separator meets client specifications and complies with ABS CDS requirements, incorporating the latest industry standards for optimal performance and safety.
