Perforated Baffle Plates

Separator perforated baffles are available in a variety of sizes and designs and can be used in either horizontal or vertical vessels. They are typically installed to calm the incoming flow in horizontal separators and also aid in the redistribution of liquid flow in long vessels due to their perforations. Gas distribution baffle plates are also employed in conjunction with mist eliminators, either upstream or downstream.

The size of the baffle plates is determined by the flow distribution system’s requirements. They are designed and constructed to be installed in sections through a vessel manway and are either self-reinforcing using webs on the panels or, in larger vessels, may be additionally supported by separate stiffening beams attached to the baffles.
